This Thermal Detonator prop is 3D printed in PLA and is available as a DIY (unfinished plastic print), assembled colored PLA print, and as a fully finished and assembled prop.
DIY kits are available in a blank kit (i.e. plastic parts only) to fit any electronics you choose or with an optional electronics kit (light AND sound!) that includes customized plastic internals for mounting the electronics and battery holder. The kit includes a small rechargeable lithium battery with USB charger. The kit can also accommodate alternate rechargeable batteries up to 18mm x 27mm x 8mm. When choosing the electronics kit, you can choose DIY kit which you assemble yourself (with instructions!) or a fully assembled electronics kit. Note: the DIY version does not require any soldering or connector installation to complete, just assembly!
The finished prop option comes fully assembled and painted in gloss metallic finish. This version also includes the light and sound electronics kit and a bonus display base designed not to damage the finished coating.
Please plan for additional time for finished props - sanding, priming, and painting the prop takes additional time! The raw print kits will be completed much faster.
Typical processing times, depending on demand:
Raw Kits (no electronics) - 1 week
DIY Kit (with electronics) - 2 weeks
Assembled Kits - 2-3 weeks
Finished (painted) Kits - 3-4 weeks
NOTE: This item is 3D printed (and sanded/primed/painted if applicable) after we receive your order - lead times will vary depending on current volume or orders, but please expect no less than 1-2 weeks for the item to be completed. For raw DIY kits, color will be dependent on what materials are on hand at the time of order, but will often be black or gray. As with all 3D prints, some minor surface defects may be present which are normally addressed during sanding/painting.
